Google Latitude: Another way to spy us.
Questa guida è disponibile anche in Italiano.
I noticed, about 4 months ago, that Google had added another function on Google Maps: A little button which if pressed gave you your position with an error of 100-300 meters, if you go on the web with a key / cellphone.
God, what a genius.
And i used it many times, quite useful.
Well, recently, the added another function too, Google Latitude, which allows you to share your actual position with you friend using an iGoogle Widget.
Wow.
But... If you're at the computer why do i will to share my position?
And here's the matter: It works on mobiles too. Yeah, I have just gotta install the program on my Nokia with Symbian 3rd and i'll have my position shared and updated about every hour, by Google.
So, i could install this thing secretly to a friend, put it on background at the mobile startup, connect it to my Google account, and thn from iGoogle (or from my mobile) i can see where does my friend is with a minimum error, and without let him know it. Oh god. I don't like it anymore, cause i could be that friend.
There are some positive things. You can know your friend's position (with them knowing it), put it on your son's phone (telling him it), or either for emergence, maybe on the ski ways.
